Hunter Cole’s art reflects the technological and artistic challenges presented through working with living organisms.  She has completed several photographic series using bioluminescent bacteria – bacteria which produces its own light.  She uses bioluminescent light to create figurative compositions (portraits; nudes; installations) depicting her keen interest in surreal imagery and symbolism.
